Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs) require different resources and orientation than regular small business, necessitating their tailored support received through the Hispanic Business Enterprise Scholarship at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

HBEs, as with other businesses, have historically demonstrated a consistent correlation between business owner education level and the business’ success. The USHCC Foundation HBE Scholarships seek to target and support Latino business owners with the financial resources necessary to successfully complete an executive education program of their choice. This ensures the sustained growth of HBEs by directly supporting Hispanic enterprise owners, while indirectly creating jobs and increasing economic activity in local Hispanic communities.

Eligible programs include the Minority Business Executive Program at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Institute, and the Tuck Executive Education Programs at Dartmouth School of Business.

Scholarship Amounts

Once selected, each HBE Scholarship winner will have a year to apply to an executive education program of their choice. The scholarship will cover up to $5,000 in formal curriculum cost, plus an additional $1,000 for lodging and travel during the program. Participation in the USHCC National Convention is a requirement of the program and registration fees for the convention is waived.
